The Killer in Me Book Review

The book “The Killer in Me,” was a Survival Fiction book written by, Margot Harrison, in 2016. The book is about a girl named Nina. Nina was adopted by a lesbian mother when she was 10 months old. Ever since she turned seven she could see through the eyes of a boy once she falls asleep. At first these “dreams,” were normal until once the boy tries to kill himself. As years past Nina makes a new friend named Warren in middle school. Warren lives with a military like family whose brothers always get in jail. Nina kept getting these strange “dreams,” then the man who she been seeing these “dreams,” actually killed someone. She was so freaked out she couldn’t trust people for a while, not even her best friend, Warren. A few years later the killings get worse so she tries to avoid falling asleep at night, but then she came to the conclusion that she can try to stop him. Nina and Warren, who haven’t talked in years, but she the only person she can trust at the time, head to the potential crime scene. When they get there, Nina realizes that they are too late and tells Warren what is going on. Warren tries to get her to stop looking for this potential killer Nina keeps talking about. Nina then comes up with a plan to find the killer stop him once and for all. They were going to try and find one of the bodies he disposed of, or kill him as a last resort.

So far this book was suspenseful at some point, and a real page turner. It may not have a lot of action in the book, but it makes up for it in drama and suspense. This book also lets you see the perspectives of Nina and Warren, and gives you a glimpse of how terrible their lives were. The book also has plot twists and will make you want to keep reading. This book is really good for people who like survival fiction in a modern day society. The book also has some funny references to other books, movies, and TV shows. I do recommend this book to others who like reading.
